Microsoft Access 2024 Activation Guide

- the product key,
- version information: Microsoft Access 2024,
- activation screen data or error message,
- installation ID, if displayed.

- You launch Access and try to activate it.

cscript ospp.vbs /dstatus
Run it in the same directory where ospp.vbs is located. In response, you will see information about the licence status, the last 5 characters of the key, and the activation status.

Troubleshooting Activation
Below are real errors that often occur during Office and Access activation.
0xC004F050 — incorrect product key
This code usually means that the entered key is incorrect, has a typo, or does not match this product edition. Check the 25 characters carefully and ensure the key is intended for Access 2024 or a compatible Office edition.
0xC004C060 — key has been blocked
This message indicates that the key has been blocked by Microsoft. This most often applies to keys that have been misused, resold multiple times, or come from an unauthorised source. In such a case, contact with the seller or Microsoft support is necessary.
0xC004F074 — unable to contact activation service
This error often occurs in environments with volume licensing or when the system cannot connect to the proper activation server. Check your internet connection, system date and time, and run the activation again:
cscript ospp.vbs /act
0x80072F8F — issue with date, time, or TLS connection
If the system clock is incorrect or the system has an issue with a secure connection, activation may be rejected. Set the correct date, time, and time zone, and then try again.
0xC004E016 — key does not match this product version
This error means the key is incompatible with the installed edition. For example, a key intended for a different Office variant than the one Access 2024 belongs to. Verification of the licence source is necessary here.
0xC004FC03 — network issue or firewall block
Activation will not succeed if the system cannot connect to Microsoft servers. Temporarily check the firewall, proxy server, protective software, and company network.
What to do when the key does not work
If the key is not accepted:
- Check if you are entering the key for Microsoft Access 2024, not another version.
- Ensure you are not confusing characters, e.g.,
