System Requirements

To install Windows Server 2016 Standard, ensure your hardware meets the following requirements:

Step 1: Downloading the ISO Image

1. Go to the Microsoft Evaluation Center website.
2. Select the option to download the Standard edition.
3. Register or log in to your Microsoft account.
4. Download the ISO image to your computer.

Step 2: Installing the System

1. Insert the installation media (DVD or USB) into the server.
2. Restart the server and enter the BIOS/UEFI to set the boot device.
3. After the installer starts, select the language, time format, and keyboard, then click "Next".
4. Click "Install Now".
5. Enter the product key you received from KluczeSoft.
6. Select the "Windows Server 2016 Standard (Server with Desktop Experience)" edition.
7. Accept the license terms and click "Next".
8. Select "Custom: Install only Windows (advanced)".
9. Specify the partition where you want to install the system and click "Next".
10. Wait for the installation to complete and restart the server.

Activating with a Product Key

GUI Method

1. Right-click on "This PC" and select "Properties".
2. Click "Change product key".
3. Enter the product key and click "Next".

Command Line Method

1. Open the command prompt as an administrator.
2. Enter the following commands:

slmgr.vbs /ipk YOUR-PRODUCT-KEY
slmgr.vbs /ato

Verifying Activation

1. Open the command prompt as an administrator.
2. Type slmgr.vbs /dli and press Enter.
3. Check the activation status in the displayed dialog box.

Post-Installation Configuration

1. Configure the server role, such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP.
2. Install necessary system updates via Windows Update.
3. Configure security features, such as Windows Defender and the network firewall.
