Support dates
For the Microsoft Access 2024 product, the support cycle started on 1 October 2024, and the end of support date is 9 October 2029. After this date, Microsoft will no longer provide fixes and security updates for this version.

Important note on compatibility
You should not mix 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Office products on the same computer. If you already have another Office component installed, check its architecture before installing Access 2024.
Downloading the installer

To prepare for the first installation, have:
- the product key,
- a Microsoft account, if activation requires linking the licence to an account,

- administrator privileges in the Windows system.
Step-by-Step Installation
1. Remove Old or Conflicting Versions
If there is an old Access, Office, or Runtime component in a different architecture on your computer, uninstall it before starting the installation. This reduces the risk of compatibility errors.
2. Run the Installer
Right-click the downloaded installation file and select Run as administrator. If the installer comes from a Microsoft account, log in to the same account with which the purchase is associated.
3. Choose 32-bit or 64-bit Version
If you do not have specific requirements for COM add-ins, old ODBC drivers, or older ACCDE/MDE databases, choose the 64-bit version. The 32-bit version may be necessary in older corporate environments.
4. Wait for the Installation to Complete

During the call, have ready:
- the installation ID displayed by the wizard,
- the product key,
- the name of the product being activated.
Verification of Activation
The simplest method:
- run Access,
- go to
File > Account, - check if the message

Troubleshooting
This product key has already been used
The key has been previously assigned to a Microsoft account or activated on another device. Log in to the correct Microsoft account and check the services section. If the key was purchased as new and the message appeared immediately, contact the seller.
This product key isn't valid or Product key is not valid
The most common causes are typos, a key for a different product, or a key blocked by Microsoft. Ensure you are entering the key for Access 2024, not for another version of Office.
ERR_INVALID_TOKEN or ERR_MISSING_PARTNUMBER
The error usually occurs when entering the key on the activation page. It indicates a problem with license type recognition or incorrect key activation location. Check if you are activating the product through the correct portal and if the license does not require a different installation path.
Office (64-bit or 32-bit) couldn't be installed
There is already an Office component installed on the computer in a different architecture. Solution: uninstall the old version or install Access 2024 in the same bit version.
The following products can't be installed at the same time
This error occurs when there is a conflict between different Office channels or editions. Most often, completely uninstalling the older Office and reinstalling only the target version of Access 2024 helps.
Another installation is in progress or codes 0-1018, 6-30015
There is another installer running in the system or the Windows Installer service has not completed the previous task. Restart the computer and try again as an administrator.
Unlicensed Product
The program is installed but not activated, or activation has expired after a system change. In this case, re-enter the key, run activation with OSPP.VBS, or use phone activation at 00 800 121 1654.
