Microsoft Publisher 2019 - standalone publishing and DTP application
Before you start
Microsoft Publisher 2019 is a classic, one-time purchase application for laying out publications, flyers, brochures, catalogues, business cards, and other DTP materials. This is not a Microsoft 365 subscription, but a separate desktop program for Windows, primarily designed for quick design of marketing materials and preparing them for printing or exporting to PDF.
It's worth knowing two important issues. Firstly, Publisher 2019 only works in a Windows environment. Secondly, the manufacturer's support has already ended: the product was launched on 24.09.2018, basic support expired on 10.10.2023, and extended support ended on 14.10.2025. This means that from 13.04.2026, the application may still work correctly, but Microsoft no longer provides security patches or standard technical support for it.

Important compatibility
Publisher 2019 is not supported on Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1. It's also a good idea to remove older or conflicting Office editions before installation, especially if they come from a different installation channel.
Downloading the installer

Step-by-step installation
1. Preparing the system

2. Running the installer
Open the downloaded installer and run setup.exe. When the User Account Control message appears, agree to install.
3. Choosing the architecture
If the installer allows you to choose between 32-bit and 64-bit versions, select 64-bit for newer computers with 4 GB of RAM or more. It's only worth keeping the 32-bit version if you use older COM add-ins or integrations that require 32-bit Office.
4. Completing the installation
Wait for the files to be copied. After completion, run Microsoft Publisher 2019 from the Start menu.
Activation
Activation in the graphical interface
Run Publisher, go to File > Account, and then select the option to change the product key. Enter the 25-character key received from KluczeSoft and confirm online activation.
Activation from the command line
For Office products, ospp.vbs is used, first with /inpkey, and then with /act.

Telephone activation
If online activation fails, use Microsoft's telephone activation at 00 800 121 1654. Prepare the product key and the installation ID displayed by the activation wizard.
Activation verification
In the GUI, check in File > Account if the product has an active status. In CMD mode, you can use:
cscript ospp.vbs /dstatus
The correct result should contain the license status with information corresponding to the active state, e.g., LICENSED.
Troubleshooting
Error 0xC004F050
Most often indicates an incorrect key or entering the key into the wrong product. Make sure you are activating exactly Publisher 2019, not another Office edition.
Error 0xC004C060
Usually indicates a blocked or rejected key by the activation servers. In such a case, contact the seller and prepare a screenshot with the message.
Error 0xC004F074
Problem with communication with the activation service. Check your internet connection, system date and time, and network firewall. Then repeat cscript ospp.vbs /act.
Installation error 30015-11
Often results from remnants of an older Office or a damaged Click-to-Run service. A full uninstallation of previous Office components and restarting the computer helps.
Installation error 30088-4
Most often indicates a conflict of files or missing system components. Run the installer as an administrator and check if the system has the latest updates.
Unlicensed Product message
The application has been installed, but activation has not been completed. Enter the key again using ospp.vbs /inpkey, and then force activation with the /act command.
Office version compatibility message
Publisher 2019 does not always work with other, previously installed Office editions from a different channel. It is safest to remove old packages before installation.
