Step 1: Preparing for Installation

Step 2: Installing Windows Server 2022 – Step by Step
1. Boot the computer from the installation media
- In BIOS/UEFI, set booting from USB/DVD.
- After booting, you will see the "Windows Setup" screen.
2. Select language and regional settings
- Screen: "Windows Setup"
- Select:

- Time and currency format: Polski (Polska)

- Click Dalej.
3. Start the installation
- Click Zainstaluj teraz.
4. Enter the product key
- Screen: "Enter product key"
- Enter the Windows Server 2022 product key (if you have a Device CAL key, enter it later in the activation process).
- Click Dalej.
5. Choose the system edition
- Screen: "Select the operating system to install"
- Choose the appropriate edition:
- Windows Server 2022 Standard (with GUI or Core)
- Windows Server 2022 Datacenter (with GUI or Core)
- Click Dalej.
6. Accept the license terms
- Screen: "License terms"
- Check "I accept the license terms" and click Dalej.
7. Choose the installation type
- Screen: "What type of installation do you want to perform?"
- Choose Custom: Install Windows only (advanced).
8. Choose the target partition
- Screen: "Where do you want to install Windows?"
- Choose an existing partition or create a new one (recommended NTFS, min. 32 GB).
- Click Dalej.
9. Install the system
- The installer will copy files and install the system. The computer will restart.
10. Configure the administrator account
- Screen: "Set password for administrator account"
- Enter a strong password and click Zakończ.
After restarting, the system is ready for further configuration.
Step 3: Activating with a product key (Device CAL)
Method 1: Activation via GUI
- Log in as an administrator.
- Open Control Panel → System and Security → System.
- Click Change product key.
- Enter the Windows Server 2022 product key.
- Follow the wizard's instructions.
Method 2: Activation via command line
- Open Command Prompt as an administrator:
- Start → type
cmd→ right-click and select "Run as administrator".
- Start → type
